Preserving Nature by Design
General Information

The Loxahatchee River District through the River Center is now offering in-classroom presentations for schools in Martin and Palm Beach Counties. Presentations cover a wide range of topics, but all relate to the Loxahatchee River watershed. Potential topics include wetland habitats, endangered or threatened species, water flows through the Loxahatchee River, waste water treatment and its role in protecting our wetlands, current WildPine Laboratory research topics, and estuaries and coastal communities.

Field Trips

Field trips to the River Center are available for elementary, middle, high schools and home school groups. The traditional three hour program (10 a.m. - 1 p.m.) has been developed to focus on the wetland and upland ecosystems of south Florida.
