General Information

The Loxahatchee River District through the River Center offers opportunities for educators of all levels, including classroom lectures, school field trips, and other resources.

School & Camp Field Trips

Field trips to the River Center are available for elementary, middle and high school students, plus home school groups. The traditional three hour program (10 a.m. - 1 p.m.) has been developed to focus on the wetland and upland ecosystems of south Florida.

Classroom Lectures

The River Center is now offering in-classroom presentations for schools in Martin and Palm Beach Counties. Presentations cover a wide range of topics, but all relate to the Loxahatchee River watershed.

Celebrate The River's 25th Anniversary!
Celebrate the 25th anniversary of the "Wild and Scenic" designation of the Loxahatchee River.
River Center's Kids Halloween Party!
The River Center hosted over 250 visitors on Friday, October 30, for the 2nd annual Haunted Hammock Kids Halloween Party! The party featured games, crafts, snacks, a hay ride, and more.
