General Information

Kids' Yoga offered at River Center

Children's Yoga will be held the 1st and 3rd Thursday of each month at 2:00 pm. The cost is $5.00 per child and children ages 3 - 10 are welcome. Children under 5 must be accompanied by a parent. Participants are asked to bring a yoga mat or towel. Reservations are not required but are encouraged. Please call (561) 743-7123.

The River Center, which is located at Burt Reynolds Park in Jupiter, traces the Loxahatchee River from its pristine freshwater reaches to a teeming estuary, and eventually to the Jupiter Inlet where it spills into the Atlantic Ocean. The center presents some of the largest aquatic exhibits in the area with an interactive exploration of the river, diverse wildlife and its majestic environmental value. In addition, guests learn where their water comes from, how it is consumed and recycled back into the community. There are multi-media and live aquatic exhibits, and a touch tank teeming with aquatic life.

The River Center was created by the Loxahatchee River District to further awareness about the river and to foster support for its preservation. Additional sponsors include the Loxahtachee River Preservation Initiative, The Van Pelt Foundation, South Florida Water Management District, the Town of Jupiter, the Community Foundation of Palm Beach and Martin Counties, and Solid Water Authority.
