The sea, once it casts its spell, holds one in its net of wonder forever. ~Jacques Y. Cousteau
Sea Quest was an annual summer camp offered by a partnership between the Friends of the Loxahatchee River and The Nature Conservancy at Blowing Rocks Preserve. This program consisted of five 1-week sessions. This water-based program was designed to expose and teach children about the freshwater, estuarine, and marine ecosystems that comprise the Loxahatchee River.
SeaQuest will not be offered in 2008. Friends of the Loxahatchee River is supporting the new Loxahatchee River Environmental Center (River Center), scheduled to open in summer 2008. It will host a variety of educational programs for students, families, adults, interest groups, and organizations. We encourage you to visit the River Center this summer to learn more about the opportunities available. Watch for the Grand Opening in Summer 2008!
