In addition, guests learn where their water comes from, how it is consumed and recycled back into the community. There are multi-media and live aquatic exhibits, and a touch tank teeming with aquatic life. The Center offers programs for area elementary school programs and summer camp presentations. The River Center also provides learning experiences for middle and high school students, special interest groups, and non-traditional and informal learning groups. The River Center was created by the Loxahatchee River District to further awareness about the river and to foster support for its preservation.
